New Midway Restaurants
Since we seem to be spending more and more time at the airport, Midway has tried to make the stay more palatable. Midway Airport is upgrading it dining choices. They are adding 29 new restaurants and fast food. Several of them have Chicago connections. Café L’Appetito opened in Chicago in 1981. It was an Italian Grocery Store on the Northwest side. To compliment the traditional American selections of Ham, Turkey and Roast Beef, Café L’Appetito carries authentic Italian sandwiches like Parma, Pane Caprese and Tony’s Bomba. GoGo White Sox Grill has opened to mixed reviews. Many wanted Harry Carey’s to return. DeColores Mexican Restaurant grew from its Pilsen roots. The family restaurant has a wide variety of Burritos, salads and quesadillas. The flavors of the restaurants cover the world including Mediterranean at Pegasus on the Fly, sushi at Tabo Sushi and American Hot Dogs at Gold Coast.
